Traditional wooden Japanese bathtubs are used for
soaking rather than washing as in the European bathing tradition.
We create a contemporary wet room version of a Japanese bathroom
using Cedar of Lebanon for the tub and the duck boarding on the floor
and installing a shower for washing prior to soaking. Cedar of Lebanon
is a very aromatic timber, and filling the tub with warm water scents
the bathroom. The scent from the timber lasts for many years.
